Proxxi ("we", "our", "us") is operated by Michai Media LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Proxxi mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address or phone number, display name, and profile information (industry, bio, interests).

Location Data: Proxxi uses your device's GPS to show nearby users and rooms. Your exact location is never shared with other users. We apply a random offset of 15-45 meters to create a "fuzzy" location that protects your precise position. Other users only see an approximate distance (rounded to the nearest 10 feet).

Messages: We store messages you send to other users and in rooms. Messages may be analyzed by AI for content moderation purposes only.

Identity Verification: If you choose to verify your identity, this is handled by Persona, a third-party provider. Proxxi never sees or stores your ID photos. We only receive a pass/fail result.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide the proximity-based networking service
To show you nearby users and rooms based on your location
To facilitate messaging between users
To generate AI-powered icebreakers and message translations
To moderate content and maintain community safety
To process subscription payments via Stripe
To send push notifications about new messages and nearby activity

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:

Other Proxxi users: Your display name, industry, bio, interests, verification status, and fuzzy location (never exact coordinates)
Service providers: Supabase (database), Stripe (payments), Persona (identity verification), Anthropic (AI features), Twilio (SMS)
Law enforcement: When required by law or to protect safety

4. Location Privacy

Your exact GPS coordinates are stored securely and never exposed to other users or through our API. The fuzzy location system adds a random 15-45 meter offset. You can enable "Ghost Mode" at any time to become completely invisible on the radar. Location data is only retained while your radar is active, with a 30-minute expiration window.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data as long as your account is active. Messages are retained indefinitely unless you delete your account. AI-generated icebreakers expire after 1 hour. Location data expires after 30 minutes of inactivity. You can delete your account at any time by contacting support@michaimedia.com.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

Access, correct, or delete your personal data
Export your data (available to Pro+ subscribers)
Opt out of AI-powered features
Withdraw consent for location tracking (disable radar)

7. International Users

Proxxi is available internationally. Data is processed in the United States. By using Proxxi, you consent to the transfer of your data to the US. We comply with GDPR, CCPA, and LGPD where applicable.

8. Children

Proxxi is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

9. Security

We use industry-standard encryption, row-level security policies, and secure authentication to protect your data. All API communications use HTTPS.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated through the app.
